Amigoe di Curaçao, 19 Aug 1971, on a Papua New Guinea court acquitting seven men of cannibalism. Not about Indonesia: 'Gerwani Turbiam' is only a defendant's name, as the translator notes. A false hit for Gerwani research.
Short Tempo editor's note (30 Sept 1972) introducing a cover story on alleged underground G30S/PKI activity, with reporters in Central Java and an interview with Jakarta commander Poniman. It describes the editorial process only; the report itself is not included. No Gerwani content.
Tempo profile of Sawito Kartowibowo, the mystic behind the 1976 'Sawito affair' manifesto, discussing his prophecies of a new 'Sawitan' age. It notes that his essays appeared in Mawas Diri, the monthly led by Dra. S.K. Trimurti. Trimurti appears only incidentally; Gerwani is not mentioned.
Journal article by Coen Holtzappel (Journal of Contemporary Asia, 1979) analysing the Untung and Njono trial records to argue the 30 September Movement was steered by Air Force and Army intelligence, with Sjam's Pringgodani group deliberately compromising the PKI and Aidit. Gerwani is mentioned only once, in a footnote
Joop Morriën's critical review in De Waarheid (6 June 1979, p.5) of Mochtar Lubis's illustrated history 'Het land onder de regenboog'. He faults its errors and 'virulent anti-communism', says it adopts Suharto's version of 1965, and notes the Madiun 1948 and 1965 killings of communists and Lekra artists' imprisonment.
