Body of murdered Dutchman found in South Celebes
Gereformeerd Gezinsblad short news (8 Nov 1949, p.1): the body of Th. Pluyter, representative of the Faroko cigarette factory, kidnapped near Masamba, South Celebes, has been found; the band seems to have been led by Makassar female councillor Salawati Daoed (Salawati Daud). Six band members arrested in a purge action.
