Mavis Wirio Miss Java

Photo caption in the Surinamese weekly Vrije Stem (2 Jul 1974): the 'Miss Djawa' contest organised by Trie Djokko Moeljo, won by Mavis Wirioredjo. Concerns Javanese-Surinamese community life; nothing on Indonesia's women's movement or Gerwani.
