De conferentie van het paniti a anti-Swapradja Surakarta, dat dezer dagen in Solo werd gehouden heeft o.m. de volgende besluiten genomen;

ACTION AGAINST THE SWAPRADJA. Self-government in Solo does not fit the present system of government. Question is being studied thoroughly by the government
The conference of the anti-Swapradja Surakarta committee [panitia], held in Solo these days, took among others the following decisions:
1. the return of self-government (swapradja), in whatever form, cannot be accepted; 2. in the regencies mass meetings and demonstrations will be held within a week and in waves; by 15 April at the latest these actions must be completed; 3. after the actions in the regencies a central action will be held; 4. after this a delegation will be formed, whose task will be to meet the president, the premier, the speaker of parliament and the minister of the interior. The conference was attended by representatives of all branches of the P.A.S. and by members of the committee, representatives of the P.N.I., the Partai Buruh, the P.S.I.I., the Partai Murba, the P.K.I., the Permai, the P.R.I., the Pemuda Rakjat, the Pemuda Demokrat, the Pemuda Demobilisasi Peladjar, the Pemuda Republik Indonesia, the Pemuda Banteng, the IPPI, the Pemuda Puteri Indonesia, the Gerwis, the Pemuda Muslimin Indonesia and the Sobsi. Chairman of the committee is Sudiman (PNI).
Government standpoint. The question of the Swapradja has the full attention of the government and is at present in the stage of settlement, according to the head of the general administration department of the ministry of the interior, Soekartono. In the areas where the Swapradja exists it has itself already been conceded that this self-government no longer fits the present system of government of Indonesia.
Abolition of self-government. The government is, however, of the opinion that this self-government cannot simply be abolished, but that the process will have to develop gradually. In the provisional constitution the Swapradja is still mentioned. The government therefore takes the provision in the provisional constitution as a guideline that the Swapradja must still be maintained, but adapted to the development of the state structure of Indonesia. Gradually this will have to lead to an abolition of self-government. In total there are in Indonesia more than 272 areas with self-government. The government realises that this self-government does not fit the system of government but strives for a gradual settlement of this question. The Swapradja in Solo has attracted much attention recently and protests have been voiced against the maintenance of self-government. Protests against this system of government have also come in — though not in a public manner — from countless other areas with self-government. All these statements and protests are studied thoroughly by the government and used as material in the search for a satisfactory solution for the settlement of this question. Shortly the draft of the basic law on daerah government will be discussed in parliament. This law will undoubtedly influence the Swapradja, it was stated. In the striving for a unitary state of Indonesia as much account as possible has been taken of the greatest possible freedom of daerah government. The basic law on daerah government is aimed at this and also means a further step towards a consolidation of the government.
Susuhunan goes to study. In kraton circles of Surakarta it is assumed that, pending a further decision from Djakarta, the susuhunan of Solo can already begin his study of economics in April. He will study in Djakarta. During the absence of susuhunan Paku Buwono the supervision of the kraton will be left to a council consisting of several palace authorities. PI Aneta's correspondent in Solo further reports that, in connection with the new developments, the Mangkunegoro [Mangkoenegoro] is said to have given up his plan to study further abroad.
