Een tehuis (Sebuah rumah/panti)

Vele dezer kinderen krijgen niet wat hun toekomt, geestelijk noch materieel. De ouders kunnen voor hun kind geen goede bijvoeding bekostigen, zij moeten beiden uit werken gaan of de langdurige ziekte van de moeder; zijn allen oorzaken waardoor het kind min of meer wordt verwaarloosd. Een tehuis met deskundige verzorgsters zou hiervoor een uitkomst betekenen. Dit plan werd op een vergadering van de voornaamste vrouwenorganisaties zoals Perwari, Budi Isteri, Gerwani en nog vele anderen hier ter stede naar voren gebracht. Zo kwam in het Logegebouw op 29 April 1952 een oprichtingscomité tot stand dat in October van dat jaar in een stichting werd omgevormd met het summiere beginkapitaal van Rp. 6000 crediet en Rp. 800 donatie.

A home with expert carers would be a solution for this. This plan was put forward at a meeting of the main women's organisations such as Perwari, Budi Isteri, Gerwani and many others here in town.
