Mevrouw Foster Dulles kreeg bloemen overhandigd namens mevrouw Anak Agung.

With a special aircraft of the American air force John Foster Dulles, the American Secretary of State, arrived yesterday morning at 10.15 at Kemajoran. The outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Anak Agung Gde Agung and other high officials of the ministry, the American ambassador Hugh S. Cumming and members of the diplomatic corps were present at the airport to welcome him. Nobody from the Dutch diplomatic representation was present.
Mrs. Foster Dulles was handed flowers on behalf of Mrs. Anak Agung. Travelling in the company of Minister Dulles were Walter Robertson, Assistant Secretary of State for Far Eastern affairs, Douglas MacArthur II, adviser to the State Department, Carl W. McCardle, Assistant Secretary of State for general affairs, and Robert R. Bowie, Assistant Secretary of State for political planning. After the official greeting Minister Dulles delivered a short speech before the microphone of RRI, after which he went to the Airport restaurant.
When he entered the restaurant a few voices sounded from outside shouting "Hapuskan SEATO" ("Down with SEATO"). When the American distinguished guest went outside and got into the car, a louder shouting sounded from some twenty demonstrators, who took up the cry "Hapuskan SEATO."
A 25-year-old girl threw a red pamphlet with the same words into the car in which Minister Dulles was sitting as it drove past. The girl concerned, Samsia, was thereupon arrested by the police and taken to the Kemajoran police post for questioning. Samsia is a member of the Gerwani, a communist-minded women's organisation. The security at and around the airport on arrival was very strict. Access to the Kemajoran restaurant was granted only on presentation of a special pass.
