Toestand in de republiek: Geen maatregelen tegen Tan Malaka's groep (Situation in the republic)

De Dienst, voor Legercontacten meldt: Naar aanleiding van geruchten, dat de republikeinse regering thans bezig is maatregelen te nemen tegen de leden van de Gerakan Revolusi Rakjat (de communistische getinte groepering onder Tan Malaka die in de plaats is getreden van het Democratische volksfront,) wordt van officiële republikeinse zijde medegedeeld, dat dit onjuist is. Wel ismen overgegaan tot <:e itatie van Ibnoe Parna vanwege een rede, welke hij onlangs op de aloon-aloon te Djokja heeft gehouden. Over de arrestatie van de Communistische leiders is te Djokja' nog het volgende, bekend gemaakt: Tegelijk wel Kolonel Djoko-1 soejono zijn ook gevangen genomen Sardjono van het Politburo der P. K. I. en Francisca Fangiday, die indertijd door de B. K. P. R. I. naar Praag werd afgevaardigd. Sardjono wordt thans in hot ziekenhuis te Poerwodadi verpleegd, omdat hij aan een hartkwaal lijdt. Volgens de door Francisca verstrekte inlichtingen, waren er bij de troepen van Amir Sjarifoeddin 23 vrouwen. Veertien van haar hebben zich tegelijk met dc 800 man overgegeven. Op 29 November n zich te Poerwodadi nog 7 vrouwen overgegeven. Tenslotte wordt eeld, dat in totaal 1500 communisten zich mei hun Wapens hebben overgegeven. Een ander bericht dat Sjarifoeddin zich, toen hij gearresteerd werd, bij Babalan bevond. Babalan ligt Oostelijk van Deniak, vlak bij-de S.Q.-lyii.

=== [Page 1] === The Army Contact Service reports: In connection with rumours that the Republican government is now busy taking measures against the members of the Gerakan Revolusi Rakjat (the communist-tinged grouping under Tan Malaka which has taken the place of the Democratic People's Front), it is announced from official Republican side that this is incorrect. What has been done is the arrest of Ibnu Parna because of a speech which he recently delivered on the alun-alun at Djokja. On the arrest of the Communist leaders the following has further been made known at Djokja: Together with Colonel Djokosujono, Sardjono of the Politburo of the P.K.I. and Francisca Fanggidaej, who was at the time delegated to Prague by the B.K.P.R.I., were also taken prisoner. Sardjono is at present being nursed in the hospital at Purwodadi because he suffers from a heart ailment. According to the information provided by Francisca, there were 23 women among the troops of Amir Sjarifuddin. Fourteen of them surrendered together with the 800 men. On 29 November 7 more women surrendered at Purwodadi. Finally it is reported that in total 1500 communists have surrendered with their weapons. Another report says that Sjarifuddin, when he was arrested, was near Babalan. Babalan lies east of Demak, close to the S.O. line.
