Herziening KNIP (Revision of the KNIP)

Voorlopig vertegenwoordigend lichaam van de Republiek Batavia, 10 Sept. (Aneta). — „Een comité onder voorzitterschap van het lid van het Werk-comite van het KNIP. Samsoedin St. Makmoer, is bezig onderzoekingen te verrichten ter vervolmaking van de samenstelling van' het KNIP (het voorlopig vertegen-, woordigend lichaam van de Republiek),, aldus Mr. Sartono, voorzitter van de Tractie-PNI in het Werkcomite, in een onderhoud met een correspondent van „Merdeka". Het KNIP heeft meer dan 500 leden. Het is tijd de samenstelling van het KNIP en zyn werk-comite te herzien en te verbeteren, aldus mr. Sartono, die er verder aan toevoegde, dat beide lichamen een weerspiegeling moeten zijn van alle stromingen die in de. Indonesische maatschappij leven. Volgens een regeling van het Werk-comite kan elke groep van 12 afgevaardigden een vertegenwoordiger kiezen om zitting te nemen in het Werkcomite. Gezien de huidige omstandigheden, kan deze regeling niet gehandhaafd blijven, aldus mr. Sartono. Het Werkcomite moet een practische weg zien te vinden, die gelegenheid geeft aan alle politieke organisaties om hun eigen afgevaardigden in het werk-comite aan te wijzen. „Er zijn nu veel politieke organisaties, zoals de PSII (Indonesische Islamitische partij), de Partai Indonesia Raya (Groot Indonesië partij), de Partai Wanita Rakjat (partij van vrouwen uit het volk) de Permai, de PKI-Merah (de rode Indonesische communistische parij), de Perwari (Indonesische vrouwenbeweging) en de Partai Wanita Keristen Indonesia (partij van Indonesische Christen vrouwen), die om een zetel in het vertegenwoordigend lichaam vragen", aldus dè voorzitter van de PNI-fractie.
