Nationaal Comité van Zuid-Celebes (National Committee of South Celebes)

MAKASSAR, 28 Juni (Aneta). — De volksvertegenwoordiging van Zuid-Celebes (Dewan Perwakilan Rakjat Daerah Sulawesi Selatan) vergaderde Woensdagmorgen in zijn nieuwe vorm van „Komité Nasional Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan". De oriëntering van de raad kwam het duidelijkst tot uitdrukking bij de verkiezing van de voorzitster waarvooi gekozen werd mevr. Salawati Daud een bekende politieke ücuur in Makassar. De arrestatie van mevr. Salawati als gevolg van de Masamba-affaire werd nog onlangs in het parlement van de RIS besproken. Kort na de Azis affaire werd mevr. Salawati met een aantal andere politieke gearresteerden vrijgelaten.

Shortly after the Aziz affair Mrs. Salawati was released together with a number of other political detainees.
