De arrestatie van mevrouw Trimurti (The arrest of Mrs Trimurti)

Dc GERWIS — dc vrouwenorganisatie waarvan mevr. Trimurti voorzitster is — heeft medegedeeld, dat naar aanleiding van de vragen die de organisatie met betrekking tot de arrestatie van mevr. Trimurti aan het hoodparket heeft gesteld, van de woordvoerder van de procureur-generaal de volgende toelichting werd ontvangen: „Tot de arrestatie werd reeds midden Augustus besloten. Het was zuiver toeval, dat dc arrestatie ten i kantore van dc dienst voor immigratie ' werd verricht. In het kader van de*! instructies van. de procureur-generaal, i moest mevrouw Trimurti reeds in Augustus, tezamen met de parlementsleden worden aangehouden, doch aangezien zij onvindbaar bleek, kon de arrestatie op elke plaats geschieden, zoals het geval is met rampokkers". Het onderzoek is intussen reeds aangevangen. (PIA)

Trimurti] is chairwoman — has announced that, in response to the questions the organisation put to the Attorney General's office concerning the arrest of Mrs. Trimurti, the following explanation was received from the spokesman of the Attorney General: "The arrest was already decided in mid-August. It was pure coincidence that the arrest was carried out at the office of the immigration service. Under the Attorney General's instructions Mrs. Trimurti should already in August have been detained together with the members of parliament, but since she proved untraceable, the arrest could take place at any place, as is the case with robbers (rampokkers)."
