Gerwis protesteert (Gerwis protests)

In verband met het besluit van de gouverneur v«an Cairo, Mohatnad Alka■wihs Bey, dat vrouwen niet mogen, deelnemen aan de verkiezingen in Egypte, heeft de Gerakan Wanita Indonesia Sedar (GERWIS) een brief overhandig:! ■aan het Egyptische consulaat in Indonesië, waarin de organisatie protesten t tegen dit besluit. De Gerwis dringt er bij de Egyptische regering op aan om het besluit, waarbij vrouwen worden uitgesloten van de verkiezingen, in te trekken.'

=== [Page 1] === Gerwis protests In connection with the decision of the governor of Cairo, Mohamad Alkawihs Bey, that women may not take part in the elections in Egypt, the Gerakan Wanita Indonesia Sedar (GERWIS) has handed a letter to the Egyptian consulate in Indonesia, in which the organisation protests against this decision. The Gerwis urges the Egyptian government to withdraw the decision by which women are excluded from the elections.
