Indonesian delegate: Victory in China inspiring
The Indonesian delegate Lillah Suripno [Lie Lah Suripno?] said at the Asian Women's Conference, among other things: "Relying on the masses of the working people of Indonesia, our guerrillas fight day and night against the oppressors. They are strong because they live in the midst of the people in the villages. The most important task of the Indonesian women is the establishment of a free, democratic Indonesian state, which will be governed by the working people of Indonesia. That is the historic mission of Indonesian women in the national liberation struggle. The establishment of the People's Republic of China under the leadership of Comrade Mao Tse-tung, which was made possible by the inspiring example of the Soviet Union and Comrade Stalin, gives us, the people of Indonesia, a brilliant example of the way in which we must achieve victory. Only with a front of all democratic forces of Indonesia under the central leadership of the Communist Party of Indonesia shall we win the struggle against the imperialists. With the help of the democratic forces in the world and especially with the help of the democratic forces in the Netherlands we shall achieve victory."
