Tweede groep Indonesiërs naar Berlijn vertrokken

(Eigen bericht) Op 2 Juli j.l. is de tweede ploeg van Indonesische deelnemers aan het Derde Wereldjeugdfeest te Berlijn uit Djakarta vertrokken met het Italiaanse schip „Surriento". In totaal zijn nu 38 Indonesische jongeren op weg naar Berlijn. Onder de tweede groep deelnemers bevinden zich Usman Sahab, een vertegenwoordiger van de jonge arbeiders bij de tinmijnen van Banka en Billiton; Darmini van de vrouwenbeweging, Sudjojono, een bekende Indonesische kunstschilder, benevens een vertegenwoordiger van de Islamitische jeugd. Op de afscheidsavond hebben vertegenwoordigers van talrijke organisaties, waaronder de P.K.I., de S.O.B.S.I., het Nationale Vredescomité en van verschillende studenten- en jeugdorganisaties de vertrekkende delegatie toegesproken. De Indonesische zwemkampioen Go Tjoan Giok maakt ook deel uit van de delegatie naar Berlijn.

=== [Page 1] === (Own report) On 2 July the second group of Indonesian participants in the Third World Youth Festival in Berlin left Djakarta [Jakarta] aboard the Italian ship "Surriento". In total 38 young Indonesians are now on their way to Berlin. Among the second group of participants are Usman Sahab, a representative of the young workers at the tin mines of Banka and Billiton; Darmini of the women's movement; Sudjojono, a well-known Indonesian painter; and a representative of Islamic youth. At the farewell evening, representatives of numerous organisations, including the P.K.I., S.O.B.S.I., the National Peace Committee and various student and youth organisations, addressed the departing delegation. The Indonesian swimming champion Go Tjoan Giok is also part of the delegation to Berlin.
