Indonesische kabinetscrisis duurt voort

„Masjumi" dreigt met terugtrekking DJAKARTA, 18 Maart — De uitvoerende raad van de „Masjumi", de rechtse Mohammedaanse partij, heeft gisteren haar kabinetsformateur Prawoto opdracht gegeven „alsnog een laatste pogihe te doen" om de Indonesische kabinetscrisis op te lossen en „de gerezen moeilijkheden te overwinnen". Indien Prawoto hier op korte termijn niet in slaagt „acht de uitvoerende raad ' het gerechtvaardigd dat hij het mandaat teruggeeft". Prawoto is een de twee kabinetsformateurs die na het aftreden van de regering Sukiman, thans meer dan drie weken geleden door president Sukarno werden benoemd. Samen met de PNlvertegenwoordiger Sidik voert hij reeds sedert 23 Februa-i besprekingen over een nieuwe regering. Op de achtergrond van deze besprekingen staat de door de afgetreden minister van buitenlandse zaken Subardjo ondertekende overeenkomst met Amerika, in het raam van de wet op de wederzijdse veiligheid, „die Indonesië definitief!! in het Amerikaanse oorlogsplan moet inschakelen. Deze overeenkomst die de verontwaardiging van brede lagen van de Indonesische bevolking opwekte, veroorzaakte de huidige kabinetscrisis. Een grote rol bij de besprekingen van Prawoto en Sidik spelen tevens de talloze oproepen uit alle delen van Indonesië tot de- vorming van een anti-fascistische regering en anti-imperialistische regering. Dergelijke oproepen bereikten Djakarta in de afgelopen week van het hoofdbestuur van de „Gerwis", de omvangrijke Indonesische vrouwenorganisatie, de SOBSI, de Indonesische vakbeweging, alsmede de RTT, de grote Indonesische boerenbond. — Dieptefilm in kleur.
