It appears that the representatives, staying abroad, of the Indonesian trade union centre SOBSI, the youth movement Pemuda Rakjat and the women's movement Gerwani have on various occasions pronounced a sharp protest against the attitude that the leaders in the Soviet Union adopt towards the generals' regime in Indonesia.
The revisionist policy of these leaders led to a breaking of solidarity with the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) and the democratic mass organisations in Indonesia. In the Soviet press accusations and insinuations are made against the PKI and the version of the September events, as it was given by the generals' regime, is in fact adopted.
In January 1967 a delegation of Soviet trade unions even paid a visit to Indonesia at the invitation of the "joint secretariat" of so-called trade unions tolerated by the generals' regime. The secretary of the banned and persecuted SOBSI, Setiati Surasto, also secretary of the WFTU [World Federation of Trade Unions], protested forcefully in a letter to the Soviet trade union federation against this act. She pointed out that the generals' regime is responsible for the suppression of the democratic rights of SOBSI, the PKI and other revolutionary organisations.
"This act constitutes proof of the cooperation of the Soviet leadership with the Indonesian reactionaries and the Indonesian fascist regime, murderers of hundreds of thousands of communists and patriots", thus Setiati Surasto.
The secretary of SOBSI called the sending of the delegation an expression of the revisionist line of the leadership of the Soviet trade unions and a betrayal both of proletarian internationalism and the international working class, and of the working class in the Soviet Union.

The Indonesian Women's Movement Gerwani likewise condemned in a statement the revisionist attitude which the present leaders in the Soviet Union adopt. It did so on the occasion of a session of the World Federation of Democratic Women [WIDF] in East Berlin. The Gerwani experienced there in what way the Soviet revisionists and their followers play their game, thus the statement.
"Instead of condemning in a resolution, on the proposal of Gerwani, the Suharto-Nasution military fascist regime, which with the help of American imperialism has murdered, tortured and thrown into prison hundreds of thousands of patriots, a hypocritical statement was adopted under pressure, despite the strong protest of the Indonesian delegation." The Indonesian Women's Movement turned sharply against the fact that the Soviet revisionists continue to send weapons to the generals' regime. The official representatives of SOBSI, Pemuda Rakjat (Indonesian People's Youth) and Gerwani were made unable to work in the international organisations dominated by revisionists and were ignored in a systematic campaign.
The Indonesian democratic organisations consequently saw themselves recently compelled to withdraw these representatives from the international organisations.
