PSII-mannen (arrestaties; aanhouding van Salawati Daud)

Betreffende de aanhouding van de heren Abikusno Tjokrosujoso en Anwar Tjokroaminoto verklaarde de Sultan, dat deze heren zijn aangehouden op grond van het opnemen van contact met de APRA en een andere organisate die tegen de regering is. De,aanhouding van de heer Zakaria in Kalimantan is gebaseerd op daden die moeilijkheden op militair gebied met zich mee brachten, terwijl inzake de aanhouding van mevr. Salawati Daud het ministerie van defensie reeds contact heeft opgenomen met de NIT-regering, doch tot nog toe nog geen antwoord heeft gekregen. Tenslotte verklaarde de Sultan, dat de regering zich steeds aan haar voornemens houdt om voor geheel Indonesië een nationaal leger te vormen, dat uit ex-leden van de TNI en het KNIL zal bestaan, met de bepaling dat de TNI de kern van dit leger zal vormen.

Abikusno Tjokrosujoso and Anwar Tjokroaminoto, the Sultan declared that these gentlemen were detained on the ground of having made contact with the APRA and another organisation opposed to the government. The detention of Mr. Zakaria in Kalimantan is based on acts that brought difficulties in the military field, while as regards the detention of Mrs. Salawati Daud the ministry of defence has already made contact with the NIT government, but has so far received no answer. Finally the Sultan declared that the government continues to hold to its intentions to form a national army for the whole of Indonesia, which will consist of ex-members of the TNI and the KNIL, with the provision that the TNI will form the core of this army.
