Besprekingen (Salawati Daud in Djakarta over het guerrillaprobleem)

Dinsdagmiddag is mevrouw Salawati Daud, gedelegeerde van de Zuid-Celebes-raad in Djakarta gearriveerd, voor besprekingen met president Soekarno en de minister van defensie ter oplosu'ng van het guerillaprobleem. Aan president Soekarno en de minister van defensie werd door mevrouw Salawati Daud een motie van de „Dewan Pemerintah Sulawesi Selatan" aangeboden, van de volgende inhoud: Gezien de klachten en de paniekstemming van de bevolking in verband met de laatste gebeurtenissen; Overwegende, dat 1. volgens ingewonnen inlichtingen er in wezen geen verschil bestaat in de idealen der guerilla's en de APRI, hetgeen werd bewezen in het gemeenschappelijke optreden van beide groepen op 5 Augustus j.1.; 2. het verschil slechts ligt in de wijze waarop de. guerilla's in de APRI moeten wojden opgenomen, daar de APRI de opname van de guerilla's via depots wenst uit te voeren, terwijl de'-guerilla's daarentegen de opname via een eigen organisatie wensen om tevens een brigade te kunnen vormen, nl. de „Brigade Hasanudin"; 3. de wrijving tussen beide groepen zodanig is geworden, dat de sentimenten aan beide zijden de overhand hebben; Heeft besloten: Een delegatie naar Djakarta te zenden om er bij de opperbevelhebber van de strijdkrachten en de minister van defensie op aan te dringen zo spoedig mogelijk een commissie in te stellen ter bestudering en onderzoeking van de voorstellen van de guerilla's, en de kwestie beleidvol op te lossen in het belang van de bevolking en het welzijn van de staat. De motie werd genomen in de zitting van Dewan Pemerintah Sulawesi Selatan op 18 Augustus jl.

The motion was adopted in the session of the Dewan Pemerintah Sulawesi Selatan on 18 August last.
