Text

=== [Page 1] === A delegation representing the PPDI (association of village administrators), the Partai Buruh, PNI, PKI, PRIM, Gerwis and Permai, which parties held a large demonstration in Bandung on Sunday, has been to see President Soekarno to present to him the text of the open letter adopted at this demonstration. This open letter aims among other things at a request to the president to issue a decree in which it is expressly stated that the DI and other gangs are terrorists and enemies of the state who must be exterminated by force. According to Aneta the delegation was with the president for well over an hour. The head of state has declared that he personally agrees with such a decree, but that the prior approval of the cabinet is needed for it, thus the delegation members. Meanwhile Aneta learns that the above-mentioned organisations have taken steps to have demonstrations held everywhere in West Java by the population against the disturbers of the peace. The request to take part in the demonstrations has also been made by other political parties and people's organisations.
