Vrouwelijke voorzitter KNI (Female chairwoman of the KNI)

De volksvertegenwoordiging van Zuid-Celebes vergaderde Woensdagmorgen te Makassar in zijn nieuwe vorm van „Komite Nasional Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan”. De oriëntering van de raad kwam het duidelijkst tot uitdrukking bij de verkiezing van de voorzitter waarvoor gekozen werd mevr. Salawati Daud, een bekende politieke figuur in Makassar. De arrestatie van mevr. Salawati als gevolg van de 1 ïasamba-affaire werd nog onlangs in het parlement van de RIS besproken. Kort na de fyzis affaire werd mevr. Salawati met een aantal andere politieke gearresteerden vrijgelaten.
