P.S.I. ontevreden: Verkiezingscommissie niet representatief (PSI dissatisfied: election committee not representative)

Drie afdelingen van de Partai Sosialis Indonesia in het gebied van Djakarta Raya hebben aan burgemeester Sudiro eén verklaring overhandigd, waarin zij hun ontevredenheid uitspreken over de samenstelling van de verkiezingscommissies voor de regentschappen van Djakarta Raya. Er wordt verklaard, dat in de verkiezingscommissies van de drie regentschappen te Djakarta Raya slechts afgevaardigden van bepaalde politieke partijen en sociale verenigingen zitting hebben en dat vele andere politieke partijen er niet in zijn vertegenwoordigd. Nader wordt verklaard, dat de sociale verenigingen vaak de „onderhouw” of de „nevenorganisatie” vormen van bepaalde politieke partijen. De P.S.I.-coördinator voor het gebied van Djakarta Raya verklaarde aan P.I.-Aneta, dat van de verenigingen, die een zetel hebben verkregen in de verkiezingscommissies, o.a. genoemd kunnen worden: de Gerwis, Wanita Demokrat, Petani, Sobri, Sobsi en PPR. De coördinator van de PSI is bereid van gedachten te wisselen met de instantie die de leden van de verkiezingscommissies benoemt. In dit verband verklaarde burgemeester Sudiro aan P.I.-Aneta, dat de formatie van de verkiezingscommissies te Djakarta Raya aan een nader onderzoek zal worden onderworpen, omdat de juiste stand van zaken in Djakarta Raya anders blijkt te zijn dan hij bij zijn voorbereidingen in Celebes had verwacht. De burgemeester kon nog geen verdere inlichtingen verstrekken.

In this connection Mayor Sudiro told P.I.-Aneta that the formation of the election committees in Djakarta Raya will be subjected to further investigation, because the true state of affairs in Djakarta Raya turns out to be different from what he had expected in his preparations in Celebes.
