Ontwerp-grondwet met grote meerderheid aangenomen (Draft constitution adopted by large majority)

Met 90 stemmen voor en 18 stemmen tegen heeft de R.I.S.-volksvertegenwoordiging maandagavond het ontwerp-grondwet van Unitaristisch Indonesië aangenomen. Voor stemden de leden van de Masjumi, P.N.I., [Unreadable], de Katholieken en enkele partijlozen. Tegen stemden dr. Djapari, Tengku Jusuf Muda [Unreadable] (PKI), Peris Pardede (PKI), Ngadiman Har[djo]subroto (PKI), mevrouw Mudigdo (Partai Sosialis), juffrouw Suwarti (Sobsi), ir. Sakirman (PBI), [Unreadable] Tambunan (Parkindo), Ahem Erningpradja, Siauw Giok Tjhan (Partai Sosialis), Sarwono [Unreadable]rdjo (Persindo), dr. Sinaga (Parkindo), Moh. O. Rondonuwu, mr. Iwa Kusumasumantri, [Unreadable]kronegoro (Partai Sosialis), Maruta Nitimi[...] (Partai Murba) en Sutan Said Ali. De Senaat van de RIS heeft in haar vergadering, welke [Unreadable] zitting van de volksvertegenwoordiging werd gehouden, de ontwerp-grondwet bij acclamatie aanvaard. Vanochtend om acht uur heeft President Soekarno de unitarische constitutie ondertekend, waarna hij [zich] naar het parlementsgebouw [begaf] voor de proclamatie van de eenheidsstaat in de gecombineerde zitting van de volksvertegenwoordiging en Senaat.

The Senate of the R.I.S. adopted the draft constitution by acclamation at its meeting, which was held during the sitting of the people's representation.
