Een aantal vrouwenorganisaties in Medan, w.o. Perwari, P.P.N.1., Wanita Rakjat. Ikatan Wanna Rakjat, Gerwis. hebben bij de resident van Medan protest aangetekend tegen het feit, dat in de kiescommissie voor Noord Sumatra de vrouwen niet zijn vertegenwoordigd. De vrouwenorganisaties eisen herziening van de samenstelling van de kiescommissie. De resident van Medan beloofde om liet protest door te zenden naar de minister van Justitie.

Protest
A number of women's organisations in Medan, including Perwari, P.P.N.I., Wanita Rakjat, Ikatan Wanita Rakjat and Gerwis, have lodged a protest with the resident of Medan against the fact that women are not represented in the election committee for North Sumatra.
