Bezwaren tegen bezoek (Objections to visit)

Voor de aankomst van Foster Dulles in Djakarta had het hoofdbestuur van de Gerwani (vrouwenorganisatie) de bezwaren van de organisatie naar voren gebracht tegen de komst van de Amerikaanse minister van buitenlandse za.ken in Indonesië, zomede tegen interventie van Dulles in binnenlandse aangelegenheden van het Indonesische volk en ook tegen de politiek van Dulles om Indonesië over te halen zich bij de SEATO aan te sluiten. Deze verklaring werd uitgegeven, nadat het hoofdbestuur van de Gerwani de aktiviteiten van Amerika in Latijns-Amerikaanse en Aziatische landen met zijn interventie-politiek had bestudeerd.

=== [Page 1] === Objections to visit Before the arrival of Foster Dulles in Djakarta the central board of the Gerwani (women's organisation) had put forward the organisation's objections to the coming of the American Secretary of State to Indonesia, as well as to Dulles's intervention in internal affairs of the Indonesian people and also to Dulles's policy of persuading Indonesia to join SEATO. This statement was issued after the central board of the Gerwani had studied the activities of America in Latin American and Asian countries with its interventionist policy.
