Filmcensuur en filmraad (Film censorship and film council)

De waarnemend secretaris-generaal van het ministerie van onderwijs, mr. Sumitro Reksodipuro, installeerde woensdag in het proclamatiegebouw aan Pegangsaan Timur de leden van de nieuwe commissie voor de filmcensuur (Panitya Sensor Film) en van de filmraad (Dewan Film). Als leden van de Panitya Sensor Film zijn benoemd: mevrouw Maria Ulfah Santoso (voorzitster), R. Soediwan (vice-voorzitter) en leden Oemar Siswosoebroto, Darsono, Goemino Doemodinardjo, Moh. Saleh Suaidy, J. Salatun, Abdulla'ip, Moechamad Sjafi-ie, R. Joesoef, R. Samsoedin, K. S. M. Ondang, Tarjib Prawirodihardjo, Mangatas Nasution, Ja'coub Rasjid, Ds. C. Ch. Kainama, Drs. D. S. Matakupan, M. E. Soebiadinata, Boejoeng Saleh, A. R. K. A. Alaydrus, Nio Ju Lan, A. C. Harms, A. Samsudin, D. Walandouw, B. Kwari, S. Kartowijono, Setiati Soerasto, M. Hutasoit, Jo Kurnianingrat en H. Kiemeneuy. De taak van de Dewan Pilem is o.m. het bevorderen van het Indonesische filmwezen, het letten op een evenwicht tussen de nationale filmproductie en de import van buitenlandse films, te letten op het copyright van een film, het regelen van het opnemen van buitenlandse films in Indonesië, de regering te adviseren in filmaangelegenheden etc. De leden van deze raad zijn: M. U. Santoso (voorzitster), mr. Santoso Tohar (vice-voorzitter), en leden Gending Suraatmadja, Darsono, Soewirjo, Soetarto, mr. Arifin Harahap, dr. mr. Prajudi Atmosoedirdjo, R. Joesoef, mr. A. Moerad en R. Soediwan.

The task of the Dewan Pilem is, among other things, promoting the Indonesian film industry, watching over a balance between national film production and the import of foreign films, watching the copyright of a film, regulating the shooting of foreign films in Indonesia, advising the government in film matters, etc. The members of this council are: M.
