According to Xinhua, 15th, Tokyo: Indonesian President Sukarno today ended his eighteen-day visit to Japan and left Tokyo by plane for home after seven o'clock in the afternoon. Speaking at the airport, Sukarno said: "Like any country, Indonesia has its difficulties and its ups and downs, but I firmly believe that after a considerable time Indonesia and the Indonesian people will overcome these difficulties." He said, "There is no reason for alarm or anxiety." Sukarno said, "We only hope everyone will have an objective understanding of us, but on the other hand we cannot tolerate any person or any quarter interfering in any way in our domestic affairs." On the day before leaving for home Sukarno gave a speech in Tokyo to students from Japan, Indonesia and other Asian countries, denouncing imperialism and colonialism. Sukarno said, "Two blocs can coexist peacefully." He said, "This is my belief," "and this belief has been confirmed." "But peaceful coexistence between colonialism and colonial peoples is impossible." Sukarno said, "Our revolution is a huge process, at times rising, at times ebbing. But we are convinced that our revolution will surely succeed. We have two aims – complete independence and the building of a prosperous and happy society. These two aims will certainly be attained, because this is the trend of history." Sukarno left the country on 6 January for rest and visits; over this more than one month he visited India, Egypt, Yugoslavia, Syria, Pakistan, Ceylon, Burma, Thailand and Japan.
