Sukani Katodiwiyo [Sukarni Kartodiwirjo], the Indonesian Ambassador to our country, was also invited to attend. The reception took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Burhan [Burhan Shahidi], President of the China-Indonesia Friendship Association, and Ambassador Sukani Katodiwiyo proposed toasts to each other at the reception. Hosts and guests drank repeatedly to the deep friendship between the Chinese and Indonesian peoples. The Indonesian guests at the reception were: the delegation of Indonesian legal scholars led by Yusuf Azitorupu [Jusuf Adiwiratmo?], LL.B., member of the Central Council of the Indonesian Scientists' Association, member of the Mutual Cooperation Parliament [DPR-GR] and member of the Provisional People's Consultative Congress [MPRS]; Professor Zeng Zhusen, Vice-President of the Indonesian Scientists' Association and Vice-President of the Indonesia-China Friendship Association; Professor Hu Fengzhi, member of the Central Council of the Indonesian Scientists' Association; members of the delegation of the Indonesian national business liaison body; Sukirman, director of Radio Indonesia, and his wife; and Mrs Sudarso, representative of the Indonesian Women's Movement Association [Gerwani], and others. Also present at the reception were Sa Kongliao, Vice-President of the China-Indonesia Friendship Association; Ding Xilin, Deputy Director of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries; Zhang Zhirang, Vice-President of the China Political Science and Law Association; and well-known figures from all walks of life such as Xiao Fangzhou and Zuo Moye.
