=== [Page 1] === A sign of the unity of the New Emerging Forces and a warning to imperialism: Hasjim [Hasono] announces that representatives of thirty-seven Asian and African countries will attend the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Bandung Conference; Indonesian mass organisations warmly hail Premier Zhou's attendance at the celebrations as something that will further strengthen Afro-Asian unity Xinhua News Agency, Jakarta, 16th – Ganis Harsono [Ganis Harsono], spokesman of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry and Second Deputy Foreign Minister, said today while receiving Xinhua News Agency reporters here that, according to the replies the Indonesian government has received so far, representatives of thirty-seven Asian and African countries would come to Jakarta to take part in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the First Afro-Asian Conference. Harsono pointed out that the Bandung spirit had become the common wealth of the Asian and African countries opposing imperialism and old and new colonialism. The flame of the Bandung spirit was continuing to burn, inspiring the peoples of these two continents to launch attacks on the imperialists. The fact that more countries would take part in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the First Afro-Asian Conference than took part in that conference clearly demonstrated the great strength of the Bandung spirit. Harsono said that from 17 April the heads of state or representatives of thirty-seven Asian and African countries would meet in Jakarta in a cordial atmosphere and pay tribute to the Bandung spirit. This would be a warning to the imperialists that the New Emerging Forces of Asia and Africa would never stop their struggle to completely eliminate imperialist enslavement and exploitation. Harsono said that this grand celebration would also give support to President Ben Bella and the Algerian people, who were to host the Second Afro-Asian Conference. The statement said that Premier Zhou Enlai's visit would add to the warm atmosphere of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the First Afro-Asian Conference, which begins here on 17 April.
