The homes of Mr Dipa Nusantara Aidit, leader of the Indonesian Communist Party, and of his deputy Mr Njoto [Nyoto], the party's theorist and a serving minister, were ransacked by Muslims, announces the Muslim daily "Mimbar Revolusi". According to this paper, a bloodstained shirt riddled with bullet holes was found at Mr Njoto's home. Mr Aidit's house was invaded after Mr Njoto's, then the demonstrators ransacked the headquarters of the organisation of communist women "Gerwani" [Gerwani]. Again according to the paper, a sum of one billion rupiahs was found at Mr Aidit's home, not counting important documents. The crowd made a bonfire of the radio and television sets and a motorbike found at Mr Aidit's. Elsewhere, paratroop units succeeded in capturing 86 "counter-revolutionaries" involved in the movement of 30 September near Brebes (central Java), announces the strategic command of the army. Fifty-seven of them belonged to the bodyguard of President Sukarno, dissolved after the attempted coup d'état.
