1. Mrs. LIU Ching Sui, acting chairman of the pro-Communist Djakarta Chinese Women's Association, is in close touch with Mrs. Mudigdo, Javanese Communist member of Parliament. Complaints and suggestions from Chinese women Communists are passed on to Mrs. Mudigdo, who tries to handle them through her official position in Parliament. Mary Young, head of the Women's Affairs branch of the China Democratic League (CDL) and wife of SHIH Chi-yao, chairman of the CDL in Indonesia, is frequently seen with Mrs. Mudigdo. Cooperation between local Chinese and Indonesian women Communists can be expected in the near future. These two groups have been working together supporting and collecting signatures for the Stockholm World Peace Movement.
2. Mrs. Sri Mangunsarkoro, chairlady of the Communist-backed Gerakan Wanita Indonesia Sedar (GERWIS) (Movement for the Awakening of Indonesian Women), sent a protest to the French Government for its ban of the Women's International Democratic Federation (WIDF).
3. Mrs. WANG Jen-shu, wife of the Chinese Ambassador in Djakarta, has received an invitation to attend the International Women's Day Conference to be held in Semarang under the auspices of the Women's Department of the Central Organisasi Buruh Seluruh Indonesia (SOBSI), the GERWIS, the Pemuda Demokrat Indonesia, the Communist Sin Yan She, and the Wanita Rukun Tetangga (Good Neighbor Women's Union) of Semarang.
4. Mrs. LIE May is planning to organize and lead a clandestine and subversive Chinese Communist women's organization in Djakarta. Its purpose will be to assist any Communist-sponsored coup d'etat in Indonesia. She is collaborating with Mary Young on this project. Mrs. LIE May is one of Mrs. WANG Jen-shu's few intimate contacts, and often visits her at the Ambassador's residence, Kramat 97, Djakarta.
