=== [PDF page 1] === 7 POLITICAL PARTIES ISSUE JOINT STATEMENT Djakarta ANTARA in English 1308 GMT 23 October 1965--B (Text) Djakarta, 23 October--Seven political parties and their mass organizations, comprising the PSII (Moslem Party), the Catholic Party, IPKI (Upholders of Indonesian Independence) Perti (Moslem Party) Nahdatu Ulama (Moslem Scholars Party), the _ functional group Kamil’ Prawirasema, and the Muhammadijah, in a meeting 21 October issued a joint statement which stated: 1--The PKI and its mass organizations are clearly involved in the 30 September Movement, namely, Pemuda Rakjat, Gerwani, LPN, SOBSI, HSI, LEKRA, C&@MI, TI, Perhimi, and IMPPI, should be dissolved and declared illegal, based on presidential decision No. 7/1959 and presidential decision No. 13/1960, as soon as possible; e~-We are fully convinced that the Indonesian revolution under the leadership of the Great Leader of the Revolution Bung Karno can be saved without the participation of the PKI and its mass organizations, which have never accepted the Pantjasila with honesty; 3--Elements masterminding, participating, and profiting from the 30 September Movement must be immediately expelled from all government posts, civil as well as military, and other public services and handed over to the authorities; 4-~-Other political organizations and their mass organizations that are later proved to have been involved in the counterrevolutionary 30 September Movement should be immediately dissolved, too, except that if the political or mass organization concerned has displayed strong indications that it) is trying to purge itself from the counterrevolutionary elements of the 30 September Movement; 5--Gotong Rojong, as the spirit of Nasakom and extract of Pantjasila, in accordance with the teachings of Bung Karno in the framework of progressive revolutionary unity, will be maintained and fostered to save the banners of the Indonesian revolution, as included in the five talismans of the revolution; 6--We are fully convinced of our capability to overcome all difficulties in the political as well as social, economic, and cultural fields as a consequence of the dissolution of the PKI and its mass organizations; === [PDF page 2] === 7--We are fully determined to continue the struggle to exterminate Nekolim completely from the face of the earth in all its manifestations, particularly the necolonialist project of “Malaysia”; 8--We are always ready to assist the government and the armed forces in the solution and erushing of the counterrevolutienary 30 September Movement and to return public order and security; 9--We stress again the decision and our (?obedience) to Great Leader of the Revolution Bung Karno, te continue the leadership of the Indonesian revolution to achieve a socialist Indonesia as soon as péssible with God's blessings; 10~--We pray that President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Great Leader of the Revelution Bung Karno may always remain on the road, blessed and protected by God Almighty.
