DEMANDS FOR DISSOLVING OF PKI CONTINUE
Anti-Gestapu Demonstration Djakarta ANTARA in English 1336 GMT 27 October 1965--B
(Text) Djakarta, 27 October--Today the editorial (newspaper unidentified--ed.) stated that a big demonstration launched by the Body for Coordinating Action to Crush the Counterrevolutionary 30 September Movement took place in an orderly manner before
the Foreign Affairs Department on 26 October, the demonstrators then proceeded to the Internal Affairs Departments.
In both cases the demonstrators issued a statement which expressed the firm resolve to struggle hard in furthering the Indonesian revolution under the leadership of President Sukarno, the great leader of the revolution. The statement also expressed full support for the policies pursued by President Sukarno in regard to the holding of the seeond Afro-Asian conference but at the same time regretted the attitude adopted by the CPR, which deserted the solidarity among the Nefo. Reports for the past few days have said that People's China is for postponement of the conference due to be held in Algiers on 5 November.
The statement also said that in facing (few words indistinct) were of firm determination to promote and increase the effort for the implementation of the Dwikora campaign to crush the neocolonialist project of "Malaysia" and the destruction of the neocolonialists, colonialists, and imperialists in all their forms and manifestations.
The demonstrators demanded that the government immediately dissolve the PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) and its sister organizations which clearly proved to have been involved in the counterrevolutionary coup adventure. The demonstrators expressed support for the steps taken by the minister of internal affairs who had expelled regional chiefs involved in the counterrevolutionary affairs of the
30 September Movement.

In addition, they urged the internal affairs minister to purge within two weeks the ketjamatans (subdistricts), kelurahans (wards), and RT's (neighborhood associations), of all elements of the PKI, They further demanded that the labor minister immediately purge the Labor Department of all elements involved in the 30 September Movement.
In the statement the demonstrators expressed the hope that President Sukarno, in his capacity of supreme Kotrar (Supreme Command for Retooling of Apparatus of Revolution) would immediately expel Tjugito and Umi Sardjono, Kotrar Political Bureau members and Walujo, Kotrar spokesman, to purge the Kotrar from all counterrevolutionary elements.
The demonstrators were received by Suwito Kusumowidagdo, first deputy foreign minister, who promised to convey their demand to Dr. Subandrio. He told the demonstrators to have complete faith in President Sukarno who he said would take the right decision for the good of the country and the Indonesian revolution.
Suwito also reminded the demonstrators that God would ultimately make those who are right triumph over the ones who are wrong and underlined the need for a strong national unity, especially in the face of increased threat from the Nekolin.
After hearing Suwito's address, the demonstrators proceeded to the Home Affairs Department in an orderly procession.
Meanwhile, Suwito disclosed in an interview with foreign newsmen on 26 October that the Indonesian Government has replied to the protest lodged, by the Chinese Embassy here, about the alleged "ransacking of the Chinese commercial counselor's office,"
as a part of the army's overall search for hidden arms. It was stated in the reply that the government is still studying the matter, he added.
Questioned about the continued attack by Peking radio on the Indonesian Armed Forces, the first deputy foreign minister said that all parties should refrain from taking any action which could harm relations among friendly countries. "On our part,”
Suwito added, "we did not start the hostilities."
