Djakarta INDONESIAN INFORMATION SERVICE in English to Diplomatic Missions 1430 GMT 1 November 1965--B
(Text) More than 300 members of the Indonesian Feasant Front (BTI) the Pemuda Rakjat, and Gerwani in the village of Rantjamalang, Bandung regency, have renounced membership in the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) and dissolved their respective organizations. It was pointed out that the PKi and its mass organizations had clearly been involved in the 30 September Movement to overthrow the legal Indonesian Government.
The 300 BII, Pemuda Rakjat, and Gerwani members said that they had clearly been tricked by the PKI leadership and for this reason wanted to quit membership and dissolve their organizations,
The statement also severely condemned the terror committed by the so-called 30 September Movement. The members of the three organizations swore by the Almighty to the sincerety of their intentions.
About 100 members of the PKI suspected of involvement in the 30 September Movement have already been detained by security agencies in the Bandung regency.
