SOBSI beschouwt 17 Augustus als 'rouwdag' voor het volk: 'Eenheidsstaat à la R.T.C.'

„De 17e Augustus VJóü is voor het Indonesische volk een rouwdag en tevens een dag, waarop het de eed van trouw aan dc „proclamatie van liet volk van 17 Augustus 1945" aflegt", aldus woidt in de toelichting op d« vorming te Djakarta van de Panitya Peringatan Proklamasj. Rakjat 17 Augustus 1945 bek;:„gemaakt. Naar aanleiding van het feit, dat de regering in het comité ter viering van de herdenkingsdag van de vrijheidsprociamatie geen vertegenwoordigers vnn dé partijen of organisaties heeft opgenomen, hadden een aantal organisaties, waaronder de SOBSI, de Rukun Tani Indonesia, Front Nasional Pemuda — omvattende 14 jeugdorganisaties —, PRRI en de vrouwenorganisatie de GERWIS, besloten tot 'de vorming over te gaan van de „Panilya Peringatan Proklamasi Rakjat 17 Augustus 1945". Verder zegt de bekendmaking, dat het nu voor het volk duidelijk is, dat de door de imperialisten omgekochte nationalistische bourgeoisie getracht heeft de originele inhoud en betekenis van de 17e Augustus uit te wissen. Want — aidus de bekendmaking —..op 17 Augustus 1950 zal een eenheidsstaat a la RTC worden uitgeroepen, waarvan de inhoud en de grondslagen indruisen tegen die van de unitarische Republik Indonesia, die door het volk op 17 Augustus 1945 werd geproclameerd". Met de tot standkoming van de eenheidsstaat a la RTC wordt de door het volk op 17 Augustus uitgeroepen Negara Republik Indonesia begraven. En daarom is de 17e Augustus 1950 voor het Indonesische volk een rouwdag, en een dag waarop het tevens de eed van trouw aan de proclamatie van net volk op 17 Augustus 1945, aflegt", besluit de bekendmaking.
