All-China Women's Federation cables Indonesian women's organisations, supporting the Indonesian people's anti-US struggle Xinhua News Agency, 18th – Yesterday the All-China Women's Federation sent a cable to the Indonesian Women's Movement Association [Gerwani] and the Indonesian Women's Congress [Kowani, Kongres Wanita Indonesia], resolutely supporting, on behalf of Chinese women, the just struggle of the Indonesian people and women against the stationing of the US Seventh Fleet in the Indian Ocean. The cable said that this new plot by US imperialism was an attempt to obstruct the Indonesian people's struggle against "Malaysia" and seriously threatened the peace and security of Asia and Southeast Asia. "We firmly believe that the Indonesian people and women, with their bull-like spirit of always advancing and never retreating, will surely win final victory in their just struggle to safeguard national independence, oppose US imperialism and defend peace in Southeast Asia and Asia."
