Secretary-General of the Indonesian Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organisation makes an urgent appeal to the world's revolutionary peoples to stop the bloody hands of the Indonesian reactionaries massacring patriots; a resolute struggle must be waged against the Soviet revisionists, traitors to the peoples of the world Chairman Mao says: "The rampancy of all the dark forces, internal and external, has brought disaster to the nation, but this rampancy not only shows that these dark forces still have strength, it also shows their last struggle, and shows that the broad masses of the people are gradually approaching victory." [Quotation as given in the source.] Xinhua News Agency, 8th – Ibrahim Isa [Ibrahim Isa], Secretary-General of the Indonesian Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organisation, recently issued a statement making an urgent appeal to fighting comrades, progressives and democrats of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the whole world to stop the bloody hands of Suharto and Nasution from further mass slaughter of 300,000 Indonesian patriots, and to protest and condemn in the strongest terms the monstrous crime of the Indonesian reactionary authorities' mass slaughter of the Indonesian people. The statement said that the Indonesian people, and the 300,000 patriots who now face the danger of being exterminated in the most barbarous ways by the executioners Suharto and Nasution and who are in a critical predicament, look forward to the solidarity of the world's revolutionary peoples and progressives. The statement pointed out that the fascist regime of Suharto and Nasution, egged on by US imperialism, over the past year had cruelly slaughtered hundreds of thousands of democrats, progressives and Communists on a mass scale throughout Indonesia, creating a white terror and strangling the Indonesian national liberation movement. In Indonesia today jackals and wolves are in power and all democratic rights have been trampled on. The statement strongly condemned the monstrous crime of mass slaughter of the Indonesian people now being carried out by the Indonesian reactionary authorities. The statement said that at present more than 300,000 of the finest sons and daughters of Indonesia are in the prisons and concentration camps of the Suharto–Nasution fascist regime; among them are many leading members and cadres of revolutionary organisations of workers, peasants, youth, university students, women, scientists, journalists, writers and cultural workers. They lead an inhuman life under the most inhuman treatment. Because of ill-treatment and lack of food and medicine, many of them are sick. The bloody Suharto–Nasution fascist regime is killing our brothers by shooting them and by letting them die of torture-induced injuries, disease and hunger. The statement said that Indonesian revolutionaries are reorganising. They are determined to unite all forces that can be united, to combine with the peasant revolution, and to overthrow the Suharto–Nasution fascist regime by people's armed struggle. We believe that the Indonesian revolutionaries will win final victory. The statement said: in the struggle we are relying on our own strength. At the same time we also need and value sincere solidarity and help. For this reason we appeal to you, fighting comrades and democrats of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the whole world, to rise like one man against the criminal plot of Suharto and Nasution to carry out a further massacre of 300,000 Indonesian patriots. The statement said: we understand that sincere solidarity and support can come only from true friends. We harbour absolutely no illusions about the Soviet modern revisionists and their followers. The Soviet revisionist leading clique has become a traitor to the liberation cause of the Indonesian people, the peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America, and the peoples of the whole world, including the Soviet people. At the most difficult moment for the Indonesian people, the Soviet modern revisionists and their followers not only continued to ship military equipment to the Suharto–Nasution fascist regime to be used to slaughter our people, but also gladly invited Adam Malik [Adam Malik], Foreign Minister of the Indonesian fascist regime, to visit the Soviet Union; yet they expelled Anwar Dharma [Anwar Dharma], the Harian Rakjat [Harian Rakyat] correspondent, from Moscow. Such shameful treachery cannot be tolerated. We Indonesian revolutionaries will wage a resolute struggle against modern revisionism, centred on the leadership of the CPSU, which has done a great deal of sabotage to the revolutionary struggle of the peoples of the world.
