DISMISS GERWANI FROM WOMEN'S MOVEMENT
✓ Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 16 October 1965, p. 2. 7 After the dismissal of Pemuda Rakjat / People's Youth _7 from the Youth Front and of the CGMI / Concentration of Indonesian Students Movements and Perhimi / Indonesian University Students Association 7 from the PPMI / Federation of Indonesian University Students Associations 7, the women's movement at present is waiting for firm and revolutionary action which must be taken quickly by the Kowani / Congress of Indonesian Women_7.
As is known, the Kowani has not yet issued any statement involving the counter-revolutionary, terrorist movement, called the "30 September Movement". Furthermore, action remains to be taken involving the dismissal of the Gerwani / Indonesian Women's Movement 7 which, apart from being clearly an organ of
Page #136
the Indonesian Communist Party, had members who underwent training at Lobang Bua ja.
Kowani is an organization composed of mass women's organizations in which Gerwani is included. This is as far as the Duta Masjarakat reporter has been able to go, as he has not yet been able to meet Mrs. Hurustiati Subandrio, General Chairman of Kowani, in order to learn what has already been done by Kowani and what will be done regarding its members involved in the terrorist organization, the "30 September Movement".

DISMISS DR. BUSONO WIWOKO AND DR. SUNARDI
Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 15 October 1965, p. 2. 7 The alumni of the University of Gadjah Mada, Faculty of Education (now the IKIP / Institute of Teacher Training and Pedagogy_7 in Djogjakarta), living in Djakarta, after studying existing facts in a detailed and careful manner, have concluded that during the time Djogjakarta was controlled by the counter-revolutionaries of the so-called "30 September Movement" Dr. Busono Wiwoko and Dr. Sunardi organized_the CGMI ✓ Concentration of Indonesian Students Movements 7 and the MSI / Indonesian Scholars Association 7, as well as the Gerwani Indonesian Women's Association 7 and the Lekra People's Cultural League 7 to demonstrate in favor of the "Gestapo" and the Revolutionary Council.
In that connection the alumni of the Faculty of Education in Djakarta, in a statement issued 12 October, signed by their General Chairman, Dr. Estiko Suparjono, demanded that the Government and the Minister of Higher Education retool 1. e., suspend 7 immediately the HSI group which supported the "Gestapo" terror and Drs. HOUSES OF COMMUNISTS SEARCHED
Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 13 October 1965, p. 1. 7 In the framework of mopping up the Gestapo terror groups, Tuesday afternoon in the Salemba area of Djakarta there was a search operation carried out by Fara-Commando troops / RPKAD_7, together with revolutionary progressive youth.
In the operation, houses belonging to the Communist Party and Communist mass organizations were searched. The occupants of the houses had disappeared October 1, including Suwardi, Chairman of Neighborhood Council I of Salemba; Achmadi, a member of Parliament; and "Lieutenant-Colonel" Tjugito of the Indonesian Revolutionary Council, which was born and quickly died.

PKI AND MASS ORGANIZATION BUILDINGS SET AFIRE
✓ Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 13 October 1965, р. 1. 7 Islamic parties and mass organizations in Serang (Banten)
have voiced firm demands to dissolve as quickly as possible the organizations which were the wire-pullers of the so-called "Gestapo" Movement, that is, the PKI / Indonesian Communist Party 7, SOBSI / All-Indonesian_Central Labor Organization 7, Pemuda Rakjat / People's Youth 7, Gerwani / Indonesian Women's Movement_7, the BTI / Indonesian Farmers Corps 7, and their puppets and demanded that the tramps of the "Gestapo" Movement be brought to justice.
The anger of the people of Banten has risen to such an extent that buildings belonging to the FKI, Pemuda Rakjat, Gerwani, the BTI, and the houses of PKI leaders were set afire last Sunday by the people.
After the "30 September Movement" took place, PKI leaders in Banten on 2 October 1965 summoned the Chief of the Region of Banten, Major Suandi, and officials of the city government of Serang to get them to support the so-called "Revolutionary Council".
But the leaders of the FKI and its mass organizations did not succeed in forcing the Chief of the Region and government 29
Page #160
officials in Serang to do their bidding. And later on, after the "Revolutionary Council" was forced to retreat, under pressure from the Armed Forces in Serang, the PKI leader, Mohammed Toha, as well as Makmun, and the Pemuda Rakjet leader, Chalid, were captured before they could flee.
In the homes of the FKI leaders were found important documents which show a connection with the so-called "Revolutionary Council". In the Anjer area were also found documents concerning the composition of the "Revolutionary Council" in Anjer, whose members consisted of leaders of the PKI, Pemuda Rakjat, and Gerwani, as well as their puppets. Now this important documentation is in the hands of the authorities.

MASS ORGANIZATIONS IN KALIMANTAN DEMAND DISSOLUTION OF PKI
Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 13 October 1965, p. 1. 7 105 political and mass organizations in South Kalimantan, in a joint statement issued last 6 October, demanded of the President that he dissolve or liquidate the PKI / Indonesian Communist Party 7, Pemuda Rakjat / People's Youth 7, SOBSI / All-Indonesian Central Labor Organization 7, BTI / Indonesian Farmers Corps 7, the Indonesian Fishermen's Corps, Gerwani / Indonesian Women's Movement 7, CGMI / Concentration of Indonesian University Students Movements 7, IPPI / League of Indonesian Student Youth 7, HSI / Indonesian Scholars Union_7, Lekra / People's Cultural League 7, and other mass organizations of the same tendency.
Among the parties which joined in presenting the demand was the PNI / Indonesian Nationalist Party 7 and its own mass organizations, the Nahdatul Ulama / Muslim Scholars 7, the PSII ✓ Indonesian Islamic Union Party 7, the Perti / Expansion of Islam Union Party_7, Parkindo / Indonesian Christian Party_7, the Catholic Party and its own mass organizations, the Youth Front, etc.

GERWANI AND PEMUDA RAKJAT IN DISGUISE
Following is a translation of an article in the Indonesian-language daily newspaper, Duta Masjarakat (The Voice of Society), Djakarta, 11 October 1965, p. 3.7 With_increasing agitation and hypocrisy, the women of Gerwani / Indonesian Women's Movement 7 and of Pemuda Rakjat People's Youth 7 who were involved in and took an active part in the "Gestapo" movement, particularly the terroristic actions against the six high officers of the Army and the junior officer, are very cleverly using disguises to carry on their terroristic activity.
According to information collected by a journalist for Suara Islam / The Voice of Islam 7 who followed the operations of the Armed Forces in the total clean-up of the "Gestapo"
terrorists, disguises in the form of religious clothing of Muslims have been used by Gerwani terrorists to contact women's leaders who are considered obstacles for their evil plans, and later on they kidnap them.
One of our women whom we contacted, that is, the widow of Lt. Gen. Anumerta Suprapto, was contacted by Gerwani agents yesterday morning who, while in disguise, intended to kidnap her, but the plot was defeated by Armed Forces units which moved quickly to smash the scheme.

The notes collected by the journalist went on to indicate that in a few neighborhoods, particularly in the vicinity of Matraman (Pasar, Dalam, and Raja), members of Pemuda Bakjat in disguise came up to members of the "Ansor" Youth Group with a Muslim greeting and then kidnapped them.

found which strengthened the impression that the Gedung Pemuda was used by PKI front groups like Pemuda Rakjat / People's Youth 7 which worked out of this building.
Evidence was also found of the close relationship between Gestapu terror activity and these organizations. Among other things a large number of badges of the Tjakrabirawa Regiment, commando knives, Pemuda Rakjat uniforms, and hats were found.
In the disciplined mass action were heard the following shouts: "Hang Aidit; Dissolve the PKI, SOBSI / All-Indonesian Central Organization of Labor 7, Gerwani / Indonesian Women's Movement 7, Pemuda Rakjat, and other front groups."
The mass action was carried on by tens of thousands of people who waved banners with the name, "Action Unit of National Front Functional Groups to Destroy the Gestapu".
At the same time a leader of the Action Unit asked an Angkatan Bersend jata reporter, since when is the building at Djalan Medan Merdeka Utara 14 under the Youth Center Foundation / Jajasan Sentrum Pemuda_7?
Purge the PFMI and MMI of Gestapu Elements Meanwhile, at about 9:00 AM, action was also begun by students of the capital at the building of the presidium of the PPMI Federation of Indonesian University Students Associations 7 on Djalan Veteran, in order to help the students whose organizations were infiltrated by the so-called "30 September Movement".
Evidence was found showing that the student organizations which played a role in the Gestapu terror included:
CGMI Concentration of Indonesian University Students 7, Perhimi Indonesian University Students Association 7, GERMINDO Indonesian University Students Movement _7, GMD Djakarta University Students Movement 7, GMRI / Movement of Revolutionary University Students of Indonesia_7, etc.
In this connection Angkatan Bersendjata learned from a student who participated in the spontaneous student action that at present the progressive, revolutionary students are shouting, "Quo vadis GMNI"?
Beside that we were also able to read slogans which, among other things, said "Purge the PPMI and MMI of Gestapu elements".
