Java beheerst door leger
Java ruled by the army
Friese Koerier ANP/Reuters wire report (11 Oct 1965, p.1) on the situation in Java after the 30 September coup attempt: 90% of rebels reportedly arrested, Muslims looting the homes of Aidit and Njoto and the Gerwani headquarters. It adds that among arrested communists are Gerwani members 'said to be responsible for the torture to death of the six generals' - an early Dutch press repeat of the slander.
Berita kawat ANP/Reuters Friese Koerier (11 Okt 1965, hlm.
“Among arrested communists are members of the women's movement Gerwani, 'die verantwoordelijk zou zijn voor het doodmartelen van de 6 generaals' (p. 1); Gerwani HQ plundered.”
