US Embassy Djakarta airgram A-300 (22 Oct 1965, Edward Masters), a 46-page analysis of the 30 September Movement, the PKI, Sukarno, Air Force and army prospects. Gerwani appears only twice: as members of PKI paramilitary TIK units trained at Halim, and as PKI women said to have taunted and humiliated the generals at Lubang Buaya before their killing. Early official-American reproduction of the Gerwani Lubang Buaya claim.

Airgram A-300 Kedutaan Besar AS Djakarta (22 Okt 1965, Edward Masters), analisis 46 halaman tentang Gerakan 30 September, PKI, Sukarno, AU, dan prospek Angkatan Darat. Gerwani hanya disebut dua kali: sebagai anggota unit paramiliter TIK PKI yang dilatih di Halim, dan sebagai perempuan PKI yang konon mengejek dan menghina para jenderal di Lubang Buaya sebelum dibunuh. Contoh awal klaim Lubang Buaya tentang Gerwani dalam dokumen resmi AS.

“p.14: Generals 'taunted and humiliated by members of the PKI women's organization Gerwani, then tortured and put to death'; p.18: paramilitary forces included 'the PKI women's arm Gerwani grouped in Special Security Force (TIK) units'.”
