TAPOL Bulletin No. 71, September 1985
Issue no. 71 (September 1985) of TAPOL Bulletin, the British campaign for Indonesian political prisoners. It carries an anonymous ex-prisoner's article on the 'G30S/PKI' symbol, reports on death-row prisoners, the Gatot defence statement, harassment of ex-prisoners and military reorganisation. Gerwani appears only once (p. 2), as one of the groups said to have received military training, a claim the author calls a mystification; a footnote on Lubang Buaya notes the 'holes' propaganda.
Edisi no. 71 (September 1985) TAPOL Bulletin, kampanye Inggris untuk tahanan politik Indonesia. Memuat artikel anonim seorang bekas tapol tentang simbol 'G30S/PKI', laporan tahanan hukuman mati, pembelaan Gatot, pelecehan terhadap bekas tapol, dan reorganisasi militer. Gerwani hanya disebut sekali (hlm. 2) sebagai salah satu kelompok yang konon dilatih militer, klaim yang dianggap mistifikasi; catatan kaki tentang Lubang Buaya menyinggung propaganda 'lubang'.
“p. 2: the claim that volunteers from Pemuda Rakjat and Gerwani received military training is treated as 'absolute truth' by the regime, but 'only part of the truth'.”
