Pancasila proves a hindrance: Gerwis explains adoption of People's Democracy
De Vrije Pers report (12 Feb 1952) on a Gerwis meeting explaining its adoption of "People's Democracy" instead of Pancasila as its basis, since Pancasila had hampered organising. Speakers (Miss Moedjiati, Miss Muninggar) described anti-imperialist, anti-feudal aims, a national front against the RTC, and insisted Gerwis is not communist; the paper doubts this.
Laporan De Vrije Pers (12 Februari 1952) tentang rapat Gerwis yang menjelaskan alasan menjadikan "Demokrasi Rakyat" sebagai asas menggantikan Pancasila, karena Pancasila menghambat pengorganisasian. Pembicara (Nona Moedjiati, Nona Muninggar) menjelaskan tujuan anti-imperialis dan anti-feodal, front nasional menentang KMB, dan menegaskan Gerwis bukan komunis; surat kabar meragukannya.
“Miss Muninggar emphatically contradicted the claim that the Gerwis was inspired by a particular political grouping. "The Gerwis is the Gerwis and not communist."”
