Renmin Ribao, 6 Mar 1952 (p. 4): All-China Democratic Women's Federation (Cai Chang) telegrams for International Women's Day to the WIDF, Soviet, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indian, German and Burmese women's bodies and to the Indonesian Gerwis. The Gerwis message praises Indonesian women's role in the independence struggle and Asian peace, urging closer unity. Evidence of Beijing-Gerwis ties in the early WIDF network.

Renmin Ribao, 6 Mar 1952 (hlm.

“p. 4, telegram to Indonesian Gerwis: 'Indonesian sisters showed a courageous spirit in the revolutionary struggle for Indonesia's independence and liberation, and you have also contributed to the cause of defending Asian peace.' Signed Cai Chang.”
