Confidential cable from the US Embassy Singapore (Ingraham) to State, 6 Oct 1977, declassified 2009. It debates whether Dr Sutanti Aidit was a PKI Central Committee member, prompted by Congressman Koch's queries. He recalls a 1974-75 Jakarta message saying she was a Class A prisoner whom the Indonesian government claimed was a CC member, and suggests asking Embassy Jakarta. No mention of Gerwani.

Kabel rahasia Kedubes AS Singapura (Ingraham) ke Deplu AS, 6 Oktober 1977, dideklasifikasi 2009. Membahas apakah dr. Sutanti Aidit anggota CC PKI, atas pertanyaan Kongres Koch. Penulis mengingat pesan Jakarta 1974-75 bahwa ia tahanan Golongan A yang oleh pemerintah Indonesia disebut anggota CC, dan menyarankan bertanya ke Kedubes Jakarta. Gerwani tidak disebut.

“REPORTED THAT JAKARTA EMBOFF HAD INQUIRED INFORMALLY OF GOI AS TO SUTANTI AIDIT'S STATUS AND HAD BEEN TOLD SHE WAS CLASS A PRISONER WHOM GOI CLAIMED WAS MEMBER PKI CENTRAL COMMITTEE.”
