Dossier of a slaughter
Tribune (Sydney), 29 Jun 1966, p. 5: editorial attacking Western press whitewashing of the Suharto regime plus a long reconstruction of 30 Sep-1 Oct 1965 taken from the British New Left Review, portraying the movement as junior officers' action. It mentions that Halim auxiliaries from Pemuda Rakyat and Gerwani took part in the killings, 'ritual' singing and shooting, but says there is 'no hard evidence' of disfigurements or other atrocities.
Tribune (Sydney), 29 Juni 1966, hlm.
“Involved in all this were auxiliaries, undergoing training at Halim Base, from both the Communist People's Youth and the Communist Gerwani women's movement... There is no hard evidence however of disfigurements or other atrocities. (p. 5)”
